How to put the gift together
- Choose experiences for them, not for a checklist. Mix easy evenings at home with a few outings. Consider their interests, mobility, dietary needs and free time.
- Decide what you are covering. Choose a total budget and make clear whether an activity is paid for, pre-booked or simply an invitation. The giftadate page is free; activity costs are separate.
- Add the details and the surprise. Write each title, location, budget and reveal note. Add a photo and a short clue that doesn't give everything away.
- Set a realistic rhythm. Add up to 12 dates. The builder supports 7, 14, 21 or 30 days between reveals. Choose 30 days for a roughly monthly series; it isn't tied to calendar months.
- Share the gift link. Send it by text or WhatsApp, or write it in a card. Remind the recipients to revisit the page for the next reveal; there are no automatic reminder emails.

These are suggestions, not included bookings. Reorder them for the season and replace any activity with something local to the recipients.

Wedding, anniversary or birthday?
For newlyweds: keep the first few dates simple after a busy wedding. Ask about their availability before making non-refundable bookings. The First Year template starts with three ideas you can customise.
For an anniversary: combine shared favourites with something new. Recreate your first date, then add an experience you've been meaning to try.
For a birthday: dates needn't be romantic. A sibling sports day, a best-friend film night or a family outing can make the gift just as personal.
Digital gift or physical date-night box?
A physical box gives the recipients cards or envelopes to open. A digital gift from giftadate lets you choose your own activities, photos and clues, then reveal them on a countdown through a share link. It doesn't ship a box, issue vouchers or make reservations. If you'd like something to hand over, write the link in a personal card.
You can see the different formats at A Year of Dates for physical date cards and Virgin Gifts for bookable experience gifts. These are independent providers, not giftadate partners.
Make it theirs
Start with a template, change the activities, and add your own message. You don't need to plan all twelve to make a thoughtful gift.
